We constantly train and retrain our personnel on the best practices to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and international standard to achieve continuous improved performance.


It is the responsibility of First Vending Nigeria Limited so far as reasonably practicable ensure that all drivers using Company vehicles or driving any vehicle on Company business in any circumstances do so in a manner that minimizes the risk to the employee, the Company and other road users.

The Company strives to prevent vehicle accidents and to imbibe the culture of safe driving practices and consideration for the environment among all Company drivers.

First Vending engages competent drivers and ensures they drive safely whenever required to operate vehicles as part of their role within the Company and seeks continuous improvement in occupational road safety performance. The Company takes all reasonable steps to eliminate or reduce risks and provide safe equipment that presents a low risk to users by means of risk assessment, safe working procedures, training and regular vehicle maintenance and thorough inspections.

First Vending Nigeria Limited uses the most efficient routing to minimize costs, taking into account driving hour’s regulations and other fees/tolls and constraints. Information on legal responsibilities, safety, speed limits, cyclists, breakdown, accidents, alcohol and drugs, mobile phones and fatigue are contained in Drivers’ Handbooks.

It is the responsibility of drivers to undergo regular eye-sight checks and ensure that the Company is kept advised regarding any medical condition or prescribed medication which may impair their driving so that appropriate assistance and safeguards can be implemented.

Below are our daily messages:

  • No smoking while driving  
  • Turn off engine while loading/offloading
  • Turn of all electrical appliances when not in use.
  • PPE must be worn at all time
  • Fire extinguishers must be easily accessible and duly serviced
  • Usage of Mobile Phones and other devices is highly prohibited at the Terminals, warehouses, workshop and while driving
  • You must not be under the influence of alcohol while in the company’s premises, client’s premises and while on the road.
  • All accidents and near misses must be reported.
